Responsible Gaming

Launched in 2022, Plucky.com is committed to safe and responsible gaming.

Safer Gambling

This section is designed to inform you how to be aware of problem gambling and gaming. If you, or anyone you know, has an issue, the following information provides pathways for seeking assistance.

What can I do if I think I may be gambling too much?

If you have any concerns about whether you are gambling too much or if you feel that you may be getting out of your depth, then please think very carefully about what you should do next, and whether you should continue betting.

  • Read our Self-Assessment Q & A

  • Set a ‘Time Out’ to give you a 24 hour, 1 week, 2 week or 1 month break from using your Plucky.com account.

  • Refer to all the information and tolls provided on the Safer Gambling information page

  • Consider taking a break from gambling or setting a self exclusion.

Option 1 - Self-Assessment

If you are unsure whether or not you may have developed a gambling problem, you can use the following simple checklist for self-assessment. If you answer positively to at least four of the following questions it is recommended you call one of the professional bodies highlighted below to seek professional advice.

  • Do you find that you are becoming preoccupied with past gambling successes?

  • Do you find that you need to increase the amount of money you gamble to achieve the same enjoyment and excitement?

  • Have you recently tried to stop gambling but were unsuccessful?

  • Do you become moody or impatient when you are cutting down how much you gamble?

  • Do you ever use gambling as a way of ignoring stress in your in life or even pick you up when you feel down?

  • Do you ever try to win back the money you lost by increasing the size or frequency of your wagers?

  • Do you ever hide how much or how often you gamble from significant others?

  • Have you ever committed fraud or theft to get money to gamble with?

  • Has gambling ever ruined a personal relationship or an occupational or educational opportunity?

  • Have you ever needed others to relieve a financial problem created by gambling?

Option 2 - Reality Check

Get an alert telling you how long you’ve been playing at the end of your selected time. You can then choose to continue your session or log out. Any changes made to your Reality Check settings while playing a game will be applied only after starting a new session. To set a Reality Check, log into Plucky and click your initials in the top right hand corner, this will bring you to your personal menu, click “Controls” and select the ‘Reality Check’ option.

Option 3 - Deposit Limits

You’re in charge. Set deposit limits for 1 day, 1 week, or 1 month – whatever works best for you. If there are any conflicting limits in place, we’ll always apply the one that restricts you the most.

For example: if you’ve set a £20 per day limit and a £100 per week limit, the £100 per week limit takes priority.

Want to make changes to your deposit limits?

Increasing your limit: we’ll apply a 24-hour cooling-off period, giving you time to cancel it if you change your mind.

Decreasing your limit: we’ll put that in place immediately from the time of your request.

To set a Deposit Limit, log into Plucky and click your initials in the top right hand corner, this will bring you to your personal menu, click “Controls” and select the ‘Deposit Limit’ option.

Option 4 - Time Out

What is Time Out?

Time Out enables you to take a short break from gambling, restricting your account from placing bets for 24 hours, 1 week, 2 weeks or 1 month. If you choose to Time Out you will not be able log in again for the selected time period, if you want to withdraw any funds during this period you can contact support directly at get@plucky.com.

You will not be refunded for any sweepstakes you are currently part of although you may still win them. You will not receive any marketing material during your frozen period. Please also consider freezing your accounts on other betting sites. This will come into effect immediately.

Option 5 - Self Exclusion

What is Self Exclusion?

Alternatively if you feel you need a longer break from gambling you can choose to self exclude:

  • Self exclusion means that your Plucky.com  account will remain closed for a minimum period of six months and will not be reactivated under any circumstances during the exclusion period (unlike a standard account closure request).

  • Please contact Customer Services to arrange for these funds to be returned to you. Where possible we will return funds to your active card within 10 working days. For any other payment methods please contact us.

  • To self-exclude, click your initials in the top right hand corner of the page, this will bring to your personal menu, click “Controls”  and select the ‘Self Exclusion’ option for a time period of either six months, one year, two years or five years. Alternatively, Customer Service can set self-exclusion for you.

  • Please contact us if you require any further information or assistance on self-exclusion or individual product restrictions.

If you choose to self exclude you will not be able log in again for the selected time period, and you will need to contact support after this period to manually re-enable your account. If you want to withdraw any funds during this period you can contact Customer Services at get@plucky.com. You will be removed from and automatically refunded for any sweepstakes you are currently part of. We’ll also make sure you’re removed from all gambling-related marketing within 2 days of receiving your completed self-exclusion request.

If you are considering self-exclusion, you may wish to register with GAMSTOP. GAMSTOP is a free service that enables you to self-exclude from all online gambling companies licensed in Great Britain. Visit GAMSTOP here.

How do I request for my account to be reactivated after my self exclusion period has ended?

Important: Please don’t try to re-open your account or create a new one while self-excluded. If you do, and are able to access Plucky, we aren’t liable for any activity that takes place.

When your self-exclusion period ends and if you'd like your account reactivated, you'll need to get in touch with Customer Services as Plucky will not contact you.

After you have contacted Customer Services we will arrange a phone call with you on a standard business day between 9 am and 5 pm, and after that, we’ll apply a 24-hour cooling-off period before your account can be reactivated.

The Customer Services team will contact you regarding your account subject to the following:

  • We will not contact you regarding reactivating your account if the period of exclusion is still valid and has not expired or if you have chosen a permanent self exclusion.

  • There is no guarantee that your account will be reopened.
